The defenders of last year´s championship also have a successful entry into the tournament. The young Ocelari dominated from the beginning of the match against Energie Karlovy Vary, and especially Pohludka and Švančara put a lot of heat on the West Bohemian defense. Report

Just don't complicate a thing... With this mantra, the fans of the young Ocelari sat down in the WERK ARENA seats. And their favorites fulfilled their wishes to the fullest. In the second minute, Danny Barna presented the puck to Robin Švančara, who sent it to the right post from the side. Karlovy Vary, specifically Tobiáš Pastor was able to equalize not long after that, but the great Jakub Milota was against his intention. While the biggest asset of the defense of the home team was a reliable catching representative, on the other side, Psohlavec in the goal of Karlovy Vary has one of the jobs you just dont want. Psohlavec stopped Pohludka's chances twice. But then, in the 25th minute, Vladimír Dravecký jr. came up with a great pass to Pohludka, who succeeded in his third big scoring opportunity with the help of a rebound off the post - 2:0. Zeman should have reduced the home team lead, but Milota again did magic in the goal area.

Neither Psohlavec nor the defense of Karlovy Vary could stop the rolling steel storm. The Karlovy Vary goalkeeper capitulated for the third time after a two-on-one outnumbering, which was brilliantly solved by Švančara. Five minutes later, the referee sent the West Bohemian team to four and Matěj Weiss took advantage of the power play. In the 53rd minute, Barna repeated the successful cooperation with Švančara, which sealed the victory of the Ocelari 5:0.
